
Permanent Representative of Fiji Presents Credentials to The Director General of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO)

Fiji will welcome the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator the Hon. Penny Wong, and the Minister for Pacific Island Affairs and Minister for Defence Industry, the Hon. Pat Conroy MP, for a high-level visit this week from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 May 2026.
The visit aims to deepen the renewed Vuvale Partnership, grounded in shared values, trust, mutual respect, and a commitment to regional stability and prosperity.
It presents a timely opportunity to advance collaborative initiatives that support Fiji’s development priorities, while reaffirming a united Pacific voice on regional and global issues.
During the visit, Hon. Wong and Hon. Conroy will hold high-level discussions with the Prime Minister, Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka, Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Hon. Sakiasi Ditoka, and other senior Government officials.
Engagements will focus on strengthening cooperation in key sectors, including economic resilience, trade, health, defence, and security.
The Government of Fiji looks forward to welcoming both Ministers and engaging in constructive dialogue to further elevate the Vuvale Partnership, strengthen regional solidarity, and deliver meaningful outcomes for the people of Fiji and Australia.
