The Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade (MFAET), Honourable Lenora Qereqeretabua welcomed the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator, The Hon Penny Wong and Minister for Pacific Island Affairs and Minister for Defence Industry, The Hon Pat Conroy MP, upon their arrival at the Nausori Airport yesterday afternoon, for a High-Level Ministerial visit to Fiji this week.
The welcoming delegation also included Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, H.E Peter Roberts, Deputy High Commissioner, Ms. Clair McNamara and officials from the Australian High Commission in Suva.
During their visit, both the Ministers will engage in a series of high-level talks with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, Cabinet Ministers and Senior Government Officials with a focus on advancing bilateral and regional cooperation. The visit symbolises Fiji and Australia’s strong Partnership – a relationship grounded in trust, kinship, and mutual respect.
