With the abrogation of the 1997 Constitution, Fijian citizenship is now being governed by a Citizenship of Fiji Decree 2009. This is Decree No 23 and was introduced in July 2009 and is deemed to have come into force on 10th April 2009.
Fiji citizenship can be acquired by:
- Birth
- Registration
- Naturalisation
