Ministry monitors the situation in the Middle East

In light of the recent tensions in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) through the Fiji Embassy in Abu Dhabi accredited to Doha, Qatar and the Permanent Mission of Fiji to the United Nations, continues to maintain active communication with the Fijian nationals residing in Qatar and Israel.

With regards to the situation in the Middle East, the Fiji Embassy in Abu Dhabi continues to monitor the situation and has reached out to the Fijian nationals in Qatar, ensuring their well-being and providing them with the necessary support.

The Fiji Embassy reports that Fijian citizens are safe and the Embassy continues to assist and update them accordingly. The Fiji Embassy is also working together with other diplomatic corps and relevant authorities and trusted allies on the current situation. They continue to receive intelligence updates and stand ready to act promptly as the situation evolves.

Similarly, the Permanent Mission of Fiji to the United Nations continues to also monitor the situation in Israel and provides Fijian nationals with the update and necessary support.

The Fijian nationals have been advised to avoid traveling in the conflict zones and to remain vigilant and to contact the Fiji Missions for further assistance or advice on the contact details given below.

The Ministry also assures the families and relatives of Fijians in Qatar and Israel that they stand ready to provide all the support to our Fijian nationals.
