The Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Hon. Lenora Qereqeretabua, today received a courtesy call from the Non-resident Ambassador of Austria to Fiji H.E. Elisabeth Köegler, accompanied by the newly appointed Head of the International Law Department at the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Thomas Loidl.
The meeting reaffirmed Fiji and Austria’s commitment to strengthen bilateral relations.
Today’s meeting was an opportunity for both sides to agree to maintain ongoing engagement through established diplomatic channels and further strengthening cooperation.
Fiji and Austria will mark 34 years of diplomatic relations in the coming months—a milestone underscoring the enduring friendship between the two nations.
