The Ministry mourns the passing of our esteemed colleague, the late Ms. Alisi Pulini, who left us on Saturday, 6 March 2026. Her loss is deeply felt across the Ministry as we come to terms with the passing of a valued colleague who touched many lives through her kindness, dedication, and quiet strength.
On behalf of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Hon. Sakiasi Ditoka, the Assistant Minister, Hon. Lenora Qereqeretabua, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Raijeli Taga, and the entire staff of the Ministry, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Ms. Pulini’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this time of profound grief.
Since joining the Ministry in 2024, Ms. Pulini served as a Principal Foreign Service Officer in the Multilateral Bureau, contributing tirelessly with professionalism and commitment. She approached her responsibilities not merely as tasks to complete, but as opportunities to uplift others, advance national priorities, and make a meaningful difference. Her expertise in Climate Change and Ocean Management made her an invaluable member of the Ministry, and her work in these areas leaves a lasting impact.
Ms. Pulini will be remembered not only for her intellect and dedication, but also for her warmth—her willingness to support colleagues, her respect for everyone around her, and her ability to bring calm and positivity even in challenging moments. She embodied the values of service, humility, and compassion, and her absence will be deeply felt by the MFAET family.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the work she championed, and the inspiration she leaves behind. As we mourn this immense loss, we stand together in solidarity, holding her memory close and honoring her life and service with deep gratitude.
May her soul rest in eternal peace. 🕊
