Fiji’s High Commissioner to United Kingdom His Excellency Jovilisi Vualalai Suveinakama, presented his Letters of Credence to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, marking the assumption of his role as the non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Fiji to the Holy See.
During the ceremony convened at the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican on 6th December 2025, Ambassador Suveinakama conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Fiji, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu the Honourable Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Sitiveni Rabuka, and the people of Fiji to His Holiness and the Roman Curia.
Ambassador Suveinakama reaffirmed Fiji’s commitment to deepening its friendship with the Holy See and to working together in areas of shared priorities, including peace, human dignity, sustainable development, and global solidarity.
