The Fiji High Commission in Papua New Guinea successfully concluded the three-day Fiji Trade and Tourism Expo 2026, held from 7–9 October at Vision City Mega Mall in Port Moresby, bringing together trade, tourism, culture and the spirit of Pacific friendship.
Held under the theme “Bringing Fiji to PNG – Three Exciting Days of Trade, Tourism and Culture,” the Expo showcased Fijian products, services, tourism opportunities, traditional cuisine and cultural performances, while providing a platform for businesses to connect and explore new opportunities.
Building on the Pre-Expo Business-to-Business Engagement held on 6 October, the event highlighted the growing potential for trade and investment partnerships between Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
Throughout the three days, visitors experienced the warmth and diversity of Fijian culture through traditional meke and entertainment, and food. A special highlight was the participation of Papua New Guinean friends in Fijian cultural performances, reflecting the strong people-to-people connections and cultural diplomacy shared by both nations.
The final day carried special significance as the Expo celebrated Fiji’s 56th Independence Anniversary, bringing Fijians and Papua New Guineans together in a patriotic atmosphere of unity, pride and friendship.
The Ministry extends its heartfelt appreciation to all exhibitors, our partners, sponsors, performers, volunteers and visitors who contributed to the success of the Expo. Special thanks are extended to Investment Fiji, Vision City Mega Mall, the Fiji diaspora and the people of Papua New Guinea for their warm hospitality and continued support.
The successful Expo reaffirmed the enduring friendship between Fiji and Papua New Guinea and the shared commitment to strengthening economic cooperation, cultural exchanges and regional partnerships.
While the three-day Expo has ended, the connections made, opportunities explored and friendships strengthened will continue to build bridges between our two nations.
