Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Government of the United States of America, the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives in the midair collision between an American Airlines passenger plane and a U.S. Army helicopter in Washington, D.C.
Speaking on behalf of the Government and the people of Fiji, the Prime Minister shared that “we are deeply saddened by the devastating accident”.
Conveying his message of solidarity in Washington, D.C. this morning, PM Rabuka reaffirmed that Fiji stands united with the people of the United States of America during this difficult time.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and with the American people. May the God of peace be their portion during this difficult time and find solace in His embrace,” he conveyed.
