The Government of Fiji looks forward to welcoming the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Anthony Albanese MP and his delegation for an official visit to Fiji next week on Monday, 6 July 2026.
Prime Minister Albanese’s visit reaffirms the enduring and trusted partnership between Fiji and Australia and reflects the deep bonds of friendship that have long united the two nations. The visit also builds on the positive momentum generated by the recent visit to Fiji by Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator the Hon. Penny Wong, and the Minister for Defence Industry and Pacific Island Affairs, the Hon. Pat Conroy MP, highlighting the regular high-level engagement that continues to deepen bilateral cooperation.
Prime Minister Albanese will be accorded a traditional welcoming ceremony hosted by the Government of Fiji and will also hold high-level bilateral talks with Prime Minister Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka, and senior Government officials. Discussions will focus on advancing shared strategic priorities, strengthening regionalism and identifying new opportunities to further enhance the Fiji–Australia Vuvale Partnership.
