Defense Attaché – Colonel Isireli Narawa

Col. Isireli Narawa serves as the Defense Attaché at the Fiji Embassy in Jerusalem, bringing over forty years of distinguished service in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), with extensive experience in intelligence, security, and international peacekeeping. His career includes key leadership appointments within the RFMF and multiple deployments with UN missions in Lebanon, East Timor, Iraq, and Syria, supported by advanced training in counter‑terrorism, intelligence, and multinational logistics. His career spans senior leadership roles such as Chief Staff Officer Intelligence and Intelligence/Liaison Officer with the Fiji Guard Unit in Iraq, demonstrating his depth of expertise.

He has also served in national security and governance roles, including as Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Defense’s National Security and Assessment Unit and as Manager Investigations at the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC). Combined with civilian training in diplomatic service and political warfare, Col. Narawa is exceptionally well‑equipped to advance Fiji’s defense diplomacy in Israel.
