The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Team celebrated Diwali – the festival of lights, at our headquarters in Suva on Thursday, 16 October 2025.
From vibrant Indian attire to a delicious Diwali lunch and Indian sweets, the celebration symbolized unity, through embracing values of peace, care and compassion, and working together as one nation. The celebrations was a joyful appreciation of the cultural diversity and reaffirmation of our shared commitment towards nation-building and the spirit of service.
As Fiji prepares to celebrate Diwali next week Tuesday, the Ministry—on behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka, Assistant Minister Honourable Lenora Qereqeretabua, the Permanent Secretary Dr Raijeli Taga and staff at Headquarters and Fiji’s Diplomatic Missions—extends a very warm Diwali wishes to families in Fiji and around the world.
May the Festival of Lights illuminate your lives with joy, your hearts with peace, and your lives with prosperity. A very Happy and Prosperous Diwali from your Team MFA.
