The Division is responsible for assisting with facilitating key human resource management that involves the following: management of assets, hiring, engagement, contracting of staff, reward and motivation, remuneration and termination of the Ministry’s human resource.
These key human resource activities involves additional activities that cover job analysis, human resource planning or employment planning, recruitment and selection, performance appraisal and human resource development, compensation and benefits, industrial or employee relations and effective health and safety programmes.

The Division is responsible for financial matters.
The Division provides financial oversight and management of financial resources and guarantees that all expenditures and Revenue collections are in compliance with the budgetary provisions under the Finance Instructions, Finance Manual, Asset Management and the Fiji Overseas Service Regulations (FOSR).
The Division also ensures the effective implementation and upgrading of the Financial Management Information System (FMIS).

Chief of Protocol
The Division ensures that diplomatic obligations are accorded to diplomatic missions, the diplomatic community, regional and international organizations. The work is informed and guided by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961) the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (1963) and Fiji’s Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act (1971).
An important responsibility of the Division is to enhance Fiji’s international standing and strengthen its diplomatic ties.
The Division also ensures that diplomats including international public servants based in Fiji adhere to diplomatic conventions and laws under the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act.
The Division is also responsible for planning and coordinating regional and international conferences hosted by the Government of Fiji and carries out protocol arrangements for distinguished guests of the state and for dignitaries travelling overseas.
