
Fiji-Nauru Advance Relations: Hon. Ditoka Meets President of the Republic of Nauru

Fiji’s newly commissioned Ambassador to the State of Israel, His Excellency Mr Jesoni Vitusagavulu presented his credentials to the President of the State of Israel, His Excellency Isaac Herzog, at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem yesterday (3.2.26).
During the credential ceremony, Ambassador Vitusagavulu extended the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji, Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka, and the people of Fiji.
Ambassador Vitusagavulu expressed that it was a privilege to represent Fiji at the nation’s inaugural resident Embassy in Jerusalem, which was officially opened by the Prime Minister Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka in September 2025.
President Herzog welcomed Ambassador Vitusagavulu and commended Fiji’s decision to establish its Embassy in Jerusalem and welcomed the deepening socio-economic, cultural and historic ties between the two nations. The State of Israel has reaffirmed its commitment to establish its inaugural resident Mission in Fiji, which is anticipated to be opened this year.
The reciprocal arrangements to establish a diplomatic presence in the respective countries, represents the mutual commitment to elevate bilateral, regional, and multilateral relations between Fiji and the State of Israel, including the wider Indo-Pacific region.
