The Fiji High Commission, Wellington, New Zealand today welcomed Fiji’s Commissioner of Police, Mr Rusiate Tudravu and his delegation, for a courtesy visit.
The First Secretary, Mrs Eileen Pickering and the Second Secretary, Mr Samela Kanakatakata welcomed and briefed the delegation on Fiji – New Zealand bilateral relations and ongoing collaboration in key areas including: Defence and Policing programmes, Labour Mobility Scheme, Trade and Investment initiatives and engagements with the Fijian diaspora.
The Fiji High Commission continues to represent the Government of Fiji’s interest in New Zealand through promoting people to people relations and consular services to more than 100,000 Fijian diaspora in New Zealand.
On behalf of the High Commissioner, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, the Fiji High Commission Team extended their best wishes to the Police Commissioner Tudravu and his delegation for their official engagements in Wellington and look forward to supporting future visits from the Fiji Police Force.
The delegation from Fiji Police Force also included Acting Assistant Commissioner Viliame Sovalevu, Internal Affairs & Professional Standards, Acting Assistant Superintendent Semi Kennedy Taylor, Personal Staff Officer of the CP, Inspector Joe Hunter, Team Leader, Fiji Police Partnership Programme (FPPP), NZ Police and Constable Litia Bola, Media Team.
