Hon. Qereqeretabua meets with Hon. Kaneko, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and trade of the Republic of the Marshall Islands

The Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dr Raijeli Taga represented Fiji at the 55th Meeting of the Committee of Representatives of Governments and Administrations (CRGA 55) held last week in Nukuʻalofa, the Kingdom of Tonga from Tuesday 14th to Wednesday 15th October 2025.
This year’s CRGA55 preceded the 14th Conference of the Pacific Community which was held from 16th to 17th October with the theme, “Pasifiki: Rooted in Heritage, Honouring the Past, United for a Resilient Future”.
These high-level meetings are critical gatherings for the 27 member countries and territories that govern SPC, bringing together government officials and to review the SPC’s work and provide strategic guidance and direction to the SPC.
In her remarks Dr Taga reiterated Fiji’s commitment to the SPC and to shared regional priorities. The meeting in Tonga aims to represents a collective vision to unify Pacific people with focus on celebrating the progress of the region and recognizing the collective commitment towards a sustainable and resilient future.
