The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade (MFAET) conveyed best wishes to Fiji’s Ambassador Designate to Japan, His Excellency Mr. Kemueli Naiqama, as he prepared for his diplomatic posting to Fiji’s Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.
In an event held at the Ministry this week, Minister Hon. Sakiasi Ditoka on behalf of the MFAET Team extended his best wishes to Ambassador Naiqama as he assumes his new diplomatic posting.
Hon. Ditoka highlighted that Japan remains one of Fiji’s most valuable development partners and reaffirmed Fiji’s commitment to further strengthen the relations.
Ambassador Naiqama conveyed his sincere appreciation to the MFAET Team for their unwavering support rendered during his preparations for his diplomatic mission.
He highlighted that the role of the Head of Mission, is an important responsibility, one that demands dedication and readiness to navigate through complex challenges while fostering closer ties between the Host Country and Fiji.
Further, Mr Naiqama expressed his commitment to deliver his role to the best of his abilities and contribute to deepening Fiji-Japan relations which is guided by the Lomatavata Kizuna Partnership.
The Fiji Embassy in Japan serves to advance Fiji-Japan relations in alignment with Fiji’s Foreign Policy goals on Sovereignty, Security and Prosperity.
