Fiji’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) H.E. Siddiq Faizal Riyad Koya presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, yesterday marking the assumption of his role as the non-resident Ambassador of Fiji to the State of Kuwait.
The occasion – signifies an important milestone in advancing Fiji’s diplomatic, economic and development cooperation with the State of Kuwait, aligned with Fiji’s foreign policy objectives.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Koya conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka and the people of Fiji.
In reaffirming Fiji’s commitment to deepen collaboration with the State of Kuwait, Ambassador Koya noted the opportunities to engage in trade and investment, tourism, climate-resilient infrastructure, agriculture, and clean energy, with emphasis on Fiji’s openness to partnerships with both public and private entities across Kuwait’s dynamic economic landscape. Ambassador also acknowledged the global leadership of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) and conveyed Fiji’s interest to explore potential collaboration.
