The Fiji High Commission, Wellington in New Zealand welcomed the Team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade (MFAET) and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) who are currently participating in 3 week – 4th Cohort of the Pacific Diplomatic Training convened in Wellington.
️A team of 3 staff members from MFAET – Mr David Tuitoga, Mr Ilisoni Tokalaulevu and Mr Goleanavanua Lesuma together with Ms Sophia Ravai from PIFS had the opportunity to meet with the Fiji’s High Commissioner to New Zealand Ratu Inoke Kubuabola – and were briefed on the work of the High Commission with focus on the importance of Fiji’s foreign services and role of diplomats in promoting Fiji’s interests abroad.
The visit further enabled the Team to gain insight on the role of Fiji’s Diplomatic Missions in undertaking regional and global engagements to build enduring partnerships and advance peace and prosperity in Pacific and beyond.
The High Commission extends appreciation to the coordinators of the Pacific Diplomatic Programme for their commitment and support, and conveys best wishes to all the participants as they continue with the Training in its 2nd week.
