
Ministry Welcomes New Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Trade

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade (MFAET) has paid tribute to the late Hon. Agni Deo Singh, Minister for Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations.
Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Hon. Sakiasi Ditoka, and Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Mr Solo Mara, signed the condolence book in honour of the late Minister.
On behalf of the Ministry and Fiji’s Diplomatic Missions, Minister Ditoka conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Hon. Agni Deo Singh.
Minister Ditoka acknowledged the late Minister’s exemplary leadership, dedicated service and strong commitment to nation-building, particularly his advocacy for workers’ rights and his support for Fijian workers participating in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme.
“Hon. Agni Deo Singh was a true son of Fiji whose dedicated service to our nation has left an enduring legacy. His commitment to nation-building and improving the welfare and opportunities of our workers has made a meaningful difference to the lives of many Fijians.”
The Ministry recognises the significant contribution of the late Minister and the lasting impact of his service to Fiji. His commitment to public service and the welfare of Fijian workers has left an outstanding legacy.
MFAET extends its deepest sympathies to the bereaved family.
