As we approach the end of our third year in Government, I have decided to make some changes to the ministerial responsibilities of my Cabinet Ministers, with effect from 19 January 2026.

– Hon Sakiasi Ditoka: Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade
– Hon Mosese Bulitavu: Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management
– Hon Lynda Tabuya: Minister for Information, Environment and Climate Change
– Hon Charan Jeath Singh: Minister for Public Enterprises, Multi-Ethnic Affairs, Culture, Heritage and Arts
– Hon Ifereimi Vasu: Minister for iTaukei Affairs (which will include iTaukei culture, heritage and arts)
– Hon Tomasi Tunabuna: Minister for Agriculture and Sugar Industry
I will continue to be the Minister responsible for Civil Service and Strategic Planning, National Development and Statistics.
The office accommodation and housing unit will be transferred to the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Civil Service will retain the role of setting the overall office accommodation housing policy for Government.
I have also taken the decision to reassign Hon Sachida Nand as Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Commerce and Business Development.
These changes come at a crucial time as we enter into our fourth year of governance, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to the nation.
