14th August 2012: Honorary Consul Harish Lodhia is keen to see more Fiji produce come into the New Zealand market and Kiwi investors set up business in Fiji. The newly-appointed representative in Auckland made this known recently during his first round of meetings with strategic contacts in Auckland, accompanied by the Acting Head of Mission, Ms Mere Tora. The contacts include the New Zealand - Fiji Business Council, Pacific Trade and Invest, Pacific Cooperation Foundation and Tourism Fiji.
The meetings provided a snapshot of what the organisations were doing and how they could assist Consul Lodhia in his role of promoting trade and investment opportunities for Fiji. “There are definitely opportunities for collaboration”, Mr Lodhia said after the round of meetings. “Niche products in the True Pacific brand could be looked at for a start”, he added.
Although he is new to the role, Honorary Consul Lodhia is already on the move in Auckland making valuable business connections. He can be contacted at
