9th July 2012: Fiji’s profile as an attractive investment destination took another boost with the successful participation by the Fiji High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa at the recently concluded Tshwane International Trade & Infrastructure Investment Conference.
Led by High Commissioner Beniamino Salacakau the Embassy highlighted Fiji’s potential as an attractive investment, trade and tourism destination. The Embassy’s booth attracted a lot of interests and the Embassy plans to repeat its display in other similar gatherings.
Meanwhile the High Commissioner Salacakau met with the officials from Centron Energy, a South African company specializing in fuel additives to improve performance of engines as well as reduce greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles. This meeting came about as the High Commissioner stepped up his effort to bring an Investment Team from South Africa to Fiji. The High Commission hopes to include the Company in the investment team to Fiji.
