10th July 2012: Fiji’s High Commission in London is preparing to host a Fiji trade promotion in London.
High Commissioner Solo Mara and his staff are liaising with relevant agencies in Fiji for the proposed Trade promotion to be held in October in London. The Trade promotion is aimed at investors around Europe and the Fijian Diaspora community.
The Trade promotion is to coincide with the London Pacific Fashion Show where the High Commission will be teaming up with a group of Fijian fashion enthusiasts in hosting a London Pacific Fashion Show and with the participation of four Fijian designers.
Representatives from Investment Fiji, Trade and Commerce, Tourism Fiji, FIRCA, Immigration, FNPF, Reserve Bank, Bank of the South Pacific, will be the core group from Fiji to be part of the Trade promotion.
Meanwhile the High Commission has once again participated successfully in the 53rd International Spring Fair 2012 on 15th and 16th May as part of its effort to promote Fiji in the UK.
Thanks to the support of the spouses of our diplomats led by Madam Kerry Mara and the Locally Engaged Staff the High Commission put up superb shows of our traditional and cultural artifacts and traditional dishes. The Fiji stall was one of the highlights and center of attractions with our traditional warriors and performances.The Chairwoman of the Organisers of the fair, Mrs. Prue K Davies was profuse in thanking Fiji for its participation.
